Excuses For Not Working Out While Traveling and Solutions For Them

Excuses

1. Not enough time.

When people travel or on the road for a long time they give many excuse as to why they can't work out. Working out is as much a mental thing as it is a physical thing. People put limitations on what they can or can not do. They make opinions into facts. Once they do this then they start to believe them as the truth. When in reality they are nothing but opinions. Lets go over some of the excuses that people talk about when they are out on the road. The first excuse is that they don't have any time. They travel all day to get to an appointment, then have to take a client out for dinner, then do some work etc, etc.

Let's dismiss this right off the bat. Not having enough time is nothing more than a failure to prioritize. A person doesn't have to work out for an extremely long time. A simple work out that takes 20-30 minutes will suffice. In a day there are 1440 minutes. Lets say that a person will get 8 hours (480 minutes) of sleep a day, eats for a total of 2 hour(120 minutes), and works for another 8 hours(480 minutes) a day, that will leave a person with 6 hours (360 minutes) of free time left. Even if you have something else that you have to do; 20 minutes out of 360 minutes is not that long at all. Start to prioritize and your body will thank you.

2. No place to work out

The next big excuse is that there is no where to work out. Well, that is just a huge big fact lie. If you can walk then you can work out. Rest assure there are places to work out on the road. Most hotels now-a-day have a fitness center with at least a treadmill and an elliptical trainer. A select few will also have dumbbells.

If you are really lucky or put the time in to look for it, some hotels have guest passes at gyms for people that stay at the hotel. All you have to do is show them your hotel key and you get to work out for free! You could also join a gym that has branches nationally and will allow you to use there facilities all over. Snap Fitness and fitness 19 are some that I know allow you to work out at any of there gyms around the country.

Another thing to consider is that if you can walk you can work out as stated before. What do I mean by that? Simple. Just start walking. It doesn't have to be for a long period of time 15-20 minutes will do. I find a very good time to walk is just after dinner. This will help your food digest and prevents that sleepy feeling you get right after eating. So remember, you can work out anywhere you just need to change your thinking!
