There are many different excuses when it comes to working out on the road weight loss. We are our own worst enemies. Here are a couple that I hear often.
1. I'm too tired
"I'm too tired to work out." I hear that one a lot, heck, I have been known to say this myself. There are a couple of solutions to this excuse. One is that you need to get more sleep at night. This goes back to prioritizing your time. Do you really need to watch your favorite show, play that one last video game or drink that last beer? No, the answer is no. What you need to do is learn how to say no. Say no to staying up late.
Let's say that you do get enough sleep in a give day, then the next thing I would work on is how is your diet? Are you eating a lot of simple sugars and crap food? That might be a big reason right there. Making sure that you get enough water will also help you be more active.
Now lets look at the other side of the equation. It might seem counter intuitive but when you work out you will actually gain more energy. When you work out your body releases endorphins into your system. This will make you feel good. It is the reason for the so called "runners high". Once you start losing weight you will be surprised how much easier it will be to do simple everyday tasks and how much more energy you will have..
2. I don't like to work out
"I don't like to work out." Most people believe that working out has to be difficult or hard. Working out could be as simple as taking a walk after dinner. Lets put it this way, you don't like to work out, then do you enjoy being fat and unhealthy? As much as the TV, Radio and Internet will have you believe that you can lose weight without doing anything, this is false. If you do manage to lose the weight without doing anything it most certainly will not be permanent. It takes work to lose weight and to keep it off.
Like they say though, nothing worth having is going to be easy. If you have to, get something or someone to help motivate you. You might want to lose the weight for your children, so that you can run and play with them or you might want to lose weight for your wedding, it doesn't matter what it is as long as it helps motivate you. Just be prepared to keep your life style going after you meet your goals.
